Project for course Human Performance Technology
Human Performance Technology is one of three core courses in my graduate program- Educational Technology. This one year long course is divided into two parts, each part takes one academic term. By the end of this course, I accomplished a project consisting of both training and non-training interventions to help students at Concordia avoid committing plagiarism during their study.
Semester One focuses on Instructional System Design (ISD). Following the ADDIE model, I designed and developed a 15-minute classroom-based training course. The final deliverable includes: The Instructor's Guide; The Learner's Guide and PowerPoint Slides with detailed annotation for instructors.

Semester Two move focus to Human Performance Technology. An important concept is introduced and addressed repeatedly- Training is not always the only and best intervention. While training can be quiet effective to fill people's performance gap by providing knowledge and skills, issues initiated by environment, organization or the system can not be addressed. In addition, individual may not be able to achieve ultimate performance due to lack of motivation, support or resources.
Concerning my project, I reconduct the need assessment to identify causes other than ignorance of the plagiarism that lead Concordia students to commit plagiarism. Job Aids, FAQs, and Resource Bank are three types of interventions enable Concordia students maintain desired performance after the course. The following link connected to a website I created that assembles all those interventions.
